I offer in-person and virtual mental health consultations to adults, children, adolescents, couples, and families. Going the extra mile so you can get better is my motto. When I take you on as a patient, you get my full attention and will have access to me at all times. My goal is to provide you with a safe space to get the care you need in an environment where you feel comfortable and secure.

About Owner
Amy Shapiro
Amy is a behavioral health professional, clinician, entrepreneur, and CEO with a demonstrated history of working in the long-term care and healthcare industry. While running the mental health company PsychOptions Affiliates as CEO for ten years, she learned how flawed the mental health industry was with fast sessions and non-personalized care.
Disillusioned by a broken system, she made it her mission to deliver real impact by providing the necessary connection and health care that was missing in the field. To do so, she left behind the very lucrative business side of the industry, rolled up her sleeves, and started seeing patients directly. This, she knew, was the only way to give back, make a difference and contribute to the changing needs of patients.
From 2006 to 2018, Amy ran Salus Behavioral Health, a psychotherapy and mental health consulting practice she founded. With a focus on bridging the gap in the industry, the practice concentrated on client-focused on personalized care by providing behavioral management assistance, and educational programs to long-term care and skilled nursing facility residents, residents’ family members, and staff.
Amy obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in clinical psychology from Barry University. During her long career, she developed strong expertise in startups, management, research, recruiting, customer service, and strategic planning.
